How pheromone traps work

A pheromone lure releases a tiny synthetic version of a chemical signal used by clothes moths. The lure attracts target adult moths onto the sticky trap, allowing activity to be monitored without spraying pesticide.

Trap brands, lure life and placement vary. Follow the trap manufacturer’s directions. A pheromone trap does not kill larvae and does not prove that textiles have or have not been damaged.
